Book Fair coming to Hastings Library Feb/March 2011
Hello Hastings Community! Just a reminder that our spring book fair will be held this week:
Monday February 28th until Thursday March 3rd. It will be open for families from 8:30 to 9:15/ 12:30 to 1:15 and 3:00 until 3:30. Any parent volunteers would be greatly appreciated. All French Books will be 50% off. Don’t forget to sign up for the free book draw. Come early for best selection. Looking forward to seeing you. Cheers and Thanks in advance from Mrs. Renzullo!
September Book Fair-2009
Another thank you to all the children, parents, grand-parents and teachers who helped make our latest scholastic fair a great success. A thank you also to Diana Pollock, Frances Pollock and Melody Kurt for donating their time to volunteer at the fair. This year we received $500.00 in books chosen from the fair and $1600.00 in cash profit. We will be buying new resources for our library in both French and English along with a new digital camera for the library. Our next book fair will be in February, where we will receive an extra 10% in free product for hosting two fairs a year.
Again, a warm thank you to all for the support you continue to give to our Library Resource Centre. Please feel free to drop by anytime to borrow our new books for home reading.

Latest Book Fair-June 11, 2009
This year’s end of year warehouse sale will take place on June 11th in the Hastings School Gym. This is Scholastic’s way of saying thank you for having hosted two fairs this year. All books and gift sets will be 50% off regular prices. Five percent of all sales will go back to our school library in book merchandise. Your support is greatly appreciated!
Scholastic Spring Fair March 2009
This year’s fair raised $1800.00 in cash profit and over $1,000.00 in books. A generous thank you to all the children, parents, grand-parents and teachers who supported our fair. All proceeds will go to new library resources and new computers for our library. A heartfelt thank you to Jackie Lavric who donated her time to work every morning, lunch hour and after school along with organizing parent volunteers to work at the fair. A special thanks to the following parents and grand-parents who donated their time to make our fair its most successful ever: Margot McLouwer, Georgia Roxborough, Frances Pollock, Jen Moss, Shannon Griffith, Anne Chao , Sharon Fast, Melody Kurt, Tracey, Jodi and A.J. MacLennan.

Scholastic has offered to host their annual Wholesale Sale at Hastings School in May. This is a special community event which offers products at wholesale prices as a special thank you to Hastings for hosting two succesful fairs. More details to follow.
